Primary Requirement: LURN Registration
Before filling out any college or course application, students must register on the LU portal to generate their LURN (Lucknow University Registration Number).
- What it is: Unique ID for centralized admissions.
- Registration Fee: ₹100
- Deadline: May 31, 2026
Important: LURN is mandatory for all UG & PG admissions.
Undergraduate (UG) Admission Procedure
A. Centralized Admission (Online)
- Appear for the UGET Entrance Examination.
- University releases merit lists based on entrance scores.
- Students fill college choices online.
- Seat allotment is done according to rank & preference.
B. Direct Admission / College-Level Tests
- Some colleges conduct their own entrance exam.
- Admissions may also be based on Class 12th merit.
- LURN remains compulsory for all applicants.
Postgraduate (PG) Admission Procedure
- Admission through PGET Entrance Test.
- Minimum 45%-50% marks in graduation required.
- Relaxation available for SC/ST candidates.
- Centralized counseling for seat allotment.
- MBA/MTTM admissions through LUMET or CAT scores.
